Courses

The first day of a two-day course is the minimum requirement for Managers and Supervisors, although we recommend two days for Maintenance Managers and Supervisors, as on the second day we get into Power Press mechanisms in detail, including trouble shooting problems that a Press could be exhibiting.

The first day of a two-day course also doubles as a three-yearly refresher / update course on the requirements of the regulations “A.C.O.P.S” and H.S.E guidance.

The second day of a course is tailored to relate to your press types/manufacturers and the types of guards you have in use.

A maximum number of 15 is an ideal maximum for the size of rooms usually available onsite. At our training facility in Birmingham, we have access to a conference room so we can accommodate larger numbers.

The Course Specifications and Schedules are what is required to meet the objective of Section 2 of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, The Requirements of The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (as applied to Power Presses) and all related A.C.O.P.S and H.S.E guidance.

Nothing less would satisfy the expectations of the H.S.E, the courts or insurance companies. We would suggest that it would be wise to check the Course Specifications and Schedules of Power Press training providers for validity when considering who to select to conduct your training.
